About Us
Foster-Long Custom Builders Ltd. is owned and operated by Jaeden Foster-Long and his partner Emma. Originally from Wiarton, Ontario, Jaeden first did his Bachelors in Philosophy from McGill University. After teaching for a year, Jaeden returned to the trade that he had done as a summer job while a student and started his Red Seal Apprenticeship in Carpentry with the master builder Harry Dekker in 2015. After 4 years under his mentorship Jaeden started his own business.
Having learned the trade by focussing mostly on smaller renovations and additions, Jaeden and the crew often were fixing work that had been done improperly in the past. They were able to learn a great deal about what often gets overlooked in construction, and what problems would arise. With their growing experience, Jaeden and the crew started taking on larger and more complex projects, eventually beginning to oversee entire new builds or large-scale additions.
Jaeden and the team place great stock on being fastidious in their work, honest, and conducting themselves with integrity. They pride themselves on quality workmanship and buildings that will last.
